We are taking up to 8 guests on a once-in-a-lifetime excursion on August 6-9, 2026.

We will take care of the permits, the ferry ride, the meals, the equipment, and all the details relating to your trip. All you have to do is show up ready for adventure!

We manage navigation, provide gear, cook your meals, purify your water, and work diligently to make your wilderness experience safe and full of the adventure you are looking for.  If you are new to the backwoods adventure, this trip will equip you with the skills and confidence necessary to embark on your future adventures. What’s Included

  • All gear from tents and sleeping gear to canoes, paddleboards, kayaks, and backpacks to food and water preparation. 

  • All meals cooked by your guides and transportation logistics & permits are covered by TNO. 

  • Maps, planning, and orientation details are covered by your friendly guides as well.    

THINGS TO BRING

  • Personal items (i.e. toiletries, bug spray, sunscreen and medications)

  • Rescue medications (i.e. Epipen, insulin, etc.)

  • Outdoor-appropriate clothing

  • Rain gear

  • Proper footwear for hiking, good tennis shoes. No flip-flops or Crocs

TRIP DESCRIPTION

Isle Royale National Park is a remote island cluster in Lake Superior, near Michigan’s border with Canada. It’s a car-free wilderness of forests, lakes, and waterways, where moose and wolves roam. The Greenstone Ridge Trail links the Windigo Harbor in the west and Rock Harbor in the east.

Each Isle Royale trip is unique! From hiking to sea kayaking, True North Outpost has all the gear to make your experience safe and memorable.
